Into the Planet

Jill Heinerth, a Canadian cave diver, underwater explorer, writer, photographer and filmmaker, will be giving a talk about her new book, Into the Planet, October 07 at Vancouver Aquarium. She has made TV series for the CBC, the National Geographic channel and the BBC, consulted on movies for directors including James Cameron, and produced documentaries, including We Are Water and Ben's Vortex. Jill's accolades include induction into The Explorers Club and the inaugural class of the Women Divers Hall of Fame. She is also the inaugural Explorer-in-Residence for The Royal Canadian Geographic Society, and the recipient of Canada's prestigious Polar Medal and the diving world's highest award from the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences. Doors open for the event at 6PM and program begins at 7PM. This event is free but you MUST register for tickets (limited quantity available). Entry for the event is through AquaQuest Reception at north end of Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park. Pay parking available adjacent to Aquarium.
