All sponsorship benefits the AAUS Foundation (501c3), the charity arm of AAUS that provides scholarships and internships to up and coming underwater scientists. The main fundraising event for the AAUS Foundation, The Bubble Breaker, is held at the AAUS annual meeting. The event typically employs a mix of fundraising strategies, including silent auctions, live auctions and raffles to raise money. Sponsors are able to support this event by donation of funds and/or in-kind products appropriate to be auctioned/raffled. In return, vendors may be eligible for product display tables, promotional materials in registrant packets, event entrance, and recognition on the event and Foundation website.
